Introduction

RUDOLF STEINER INSTITUTE IN QUEBEC is a training center for renewing the art of education. The program of teacher training focuses on developing the abilities that make the teacher a free and creative being, capable of initiatives that meet real needs of children, meaning, informed by a deep understanding of the human being, its future, and its relations with the world and history, as Rudolf Steiner has developed.

The program includes teacher training:

  • The study of basic works, mainly by Rudolf Steiner
  • Art workshops: sculpture, drawing, painting, sculpture, music, singing, art of speech, theater, Bothmer gymnastics and dynamic Space, eurythmics
  • Seminars
  • Field placements in social therapy, biodynamic farming, teaching
  • A research project on a topic given

Schedule and Calendar

The curriculum includes:

  • 5 intensive weeks (three weeks in July and in October the weekend extended by Thanksgiving and March, the 1st week, corresponding to school holidays in Quebec)
  • 16 weekends (average)

This does not include the weeks of internship.

Schedule of intensive weeks:
Monday through Friday, from 8h00 to 21h30

Week-end Schedule :
Friday evening: from 18:15 to 21:30
Saturday: from 8.00 to 13.00
