If you are interested in our school and would like to explore the possibility of your child benefiting from our unique teaching philosophy, you can communicate with the school by e-mail at: info@ersm.org or call us at: (514) 481-5686.
Please direct all information requests to Christine Pélissier, the head of admissions.
Parents are invited to visit the school and receive more information. Brochures and registration forms are provided on-site.
Following a visit, the parents and child will meet with the teacher of the appropriate class. At this stage, the child is evaluated according to criteria established by the school. Registration fees must be paid in order to open a file. The child’s birth certificate, a photo, and report cards from the two previous years for elementary and secondary grades are required.
A registration meeting will then be scheduled to complete the enrolment process.
L'École Rudolf Steiner de Montréal accepts all children regardless of national origin, ethnic, social or religious background. Parents are expected to understand and accept the school’s philosophy and policies as well as contribute to the activities of the school. Each student’s specific needs are assessed by an evaluation during the registration.
The Waldorf teaching philosophy respects the objectives and requirements of the educational system as mandated by Le Ministère de l'Éducation, while introducing and developing content in an innovative and stimulating way.
The school is financially sustained by tuition and contributions from parents and gifts from friends along with fund-raising events and activities. The elementary school (grades 1 through 6) is subsidized by Le Ministère de l'Éducation, since September 2004. The kindergarten and the secondary school (grades 6 through 8) are not currently subsidized.
Please contact us for details about the financial contribution expected for each family. Please note that the secondary grades II, III, IV and V (8th,9th, 10th, and 11th) will not be available for the 2011-2012 school year.
