We Value Community
Every year we find ways to support charitable projects near and far. Here are a few of our recent actions:
September 29th is WOW Day (Waldorf One World), the day when Waldorf schools worldwide raise funds for educational projects in development.
This year grades 4 through 8 transformed their traditional trek to Summit Park for the festival of courage into a walkathon for children in Haiti.
They raised $5200!
Every year following our Lantern Walk, we collect non-perishable items for the NDG Food Depot.
NDG Knit-In for Syrian Refugees - A Community Gathering to Knit for the Syrian Refugees Coming to Montreal.
We collected 125 handmade tuques, 60 bags of clothes for PROMIS, as well as 3 boxes of food and $300 for the Depot! Our partners for this event included:
Transition NDG, the NDG Art Hive, the NDG Food Depot, PROMIS, Bienvenue à NDG, Espace Tricot, Café Zéphyr, Co-op la maison verte, 25 000 tuques, the John Inder Trio, Jeffrey May and students from École St-Luc.
